Remy Brown runs a multiple offense for the Springfield Tigers 10u “Track Squad”. With a blend of tenacity and discipline, he keeps the Track Team going full steam ahead!
Remy threw for 19 touchdowns this season and 850 yards and 8 rushing TDs on 550 yards, spreading around the wealth to his top targets Nolan Bonney, Cky’Aire Sepheus, Ja’hmier Lawrence and Dasean Auston. A dual threat quarterback, Remy also kills teams dreams with his feet. His favorite run play is a read option play where the defensive end determines if he gives or keeps.
Remy led his team to win the AYF Connecticut state championships versus the Meriden Raiders 13-6. The game with Meriden was a heated one and Remy kept his cool while taking big shots. Remy managed the game well gaining valuable first downs with his snap count and audibles on the line. His cool demeanor allowed him to milk the clock to bring in the win versus the Tigers rivals the Meriden Raiders.
One week later on a 100 yards rushing, 1 rushing TD, 120 yards passing and 1 passing TD performance, he amazed the crowd in Rhode Island on the way to a 33-0 2nd quarter stoppage versus the Lincoln Lions. The referees were so impressed with the Tigers and their QB1 Remington Brown. One ref said “this team is better than high school teams we see around here”. Below is a highlight of one of Remy’s runs in the AYF New England regional semi finals.
The next week Remy led the Tigers against the AYF Central Massachusetts champions Leominster Blue Devils. Running for 145 yards and throwing for 135 yards and two touchdowns, Remy spearheaded a dominant victory over the undefeated Blue Devils. In a high stakes game where both teams were one game away from a trip to Florida for the AYF nationals, Remy stayed calm and composed. Leading his team to 6 touchdowns, including three straight touchdowns on his first three drives. One of the best plays of the season, at the 10u level Remy throws the wheel route to Cky’Aire and watches Cky’Aire “moss” a defender from Leominster. The play was called back due to an illegal man downfield so what does Remy do? Did he pout and cry about it being unfair? Nope, instead Remy throws a fade to Jay Lawrence two plays later for a touchdown. The throw as seen in the highlights passes over the stretched out defender and lands only where Lawrence (a taller wide receiver) can catch it. Remy’s Tigers won the New England AYF regional championship 37-20.
Remy is making the sacrifices to be the best which includes his off-season work with Excel New England. A football training program that also trains the current Max Preps Massachusetts player of the year William Watson III. Coach Tommy Guy, quarterback trainer of Excel New England said “Remy loves the game of football and everything that comes with it. He rarely misses a workout, is always looking to improve, and is always dialed in. Remy likes to push himself and train in groups with the best guys no matter how much older they are than him. He is a dual threat QB and multi sport athlete that loves training, practicing, and playing. One of Remy’s biggest strengths is his attitude and how much he loves being out there. I’m excited to watch him grow each year and each workout.“
Coach Fred Davis said "Remy is a natural athlete" a "triple threat at quarterback". Coach Davis said that Remy can "beat you with his arm, his legs or his IQ". "Most of the Tigers offense is predicted on him making the correct read on the defense and he is right more than 90% of the time". Coach Davis considers Remy "top 5 QB in the country at his age".
One of the hallmarks of a great quarterback at any level is their cadence, and Remy can bark out the snap count with the best of them. Time after time Remy draws the defense offsides with ease.
In Florida Remy maintained his level of play against the national competition including throwing for a touchdown against the West Baltimore Ravens, throwing for key first downs to keep the drive alive against the hard hitting North Carolina Darkhorses, and playing corner back against the Elite Frog Units air attack.
Remy is a true student athlete, with a grade point average that is close to 4.0. When the college recruiters come knocking they will find a gem in the class of 2029 Quarterback Remy Brown. The #1 Quarterback in Massachusetts at the 10u level (Class of 2029) according to www.top10newengland.com
