Quincy Appiah Dazzles

Quincy Appiah is a star athlete for the Worcester Cowboys 11u team that seems to do it all. He catches, runs, tackles and locks down his side of the field at corner back. A member of the class of 2028 he makes big plays no matter the stage, during the regular season, league playoffs or against regional competition. Quincy excels at Wide Receiver, Running Back and Defensive Back.

Quincy led his team to a state championship with a close win over the Worcester Vikings (13-7), then again helped his team squeak out a win over Londonderry (13-7) (the New Hampshire state champions) in a tightly contested game, and were runners up in the AYF New England Regional Championships after falling to the New London Whalers in a game played in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Appiah scored the lone points for his team.

When watching Quincy's hudl you will see an explosive receiver who get lots of yards after the catch. He takes 5 yard slants to the house with a smooth stride, passing defenders with ease. If you allow him an inch of daylight Quincy will leave defenders in the dust. While some highlight tapes unevenly show great plays against subpar competition, Quincy's level of performance remains consistent no matter who he plays.

On the defensive side of the ball Appiah shows above average skills when the ball is in the air. He shows elite speed on the defensive side of the ball, saving touchdowns against elite level players at the 11U level. He tackles through the waist and wastes no time getting the ball carrier on the ground. As a smaller defensive back he doesn't miss tackles and is solid on his island. When Quincy gets his hands on the ball on the defensive side of the ball, you can almost guarantee that he is taking it to the house.

Coach Kiser said “Quincy is one of most valuable, explosive, positive and well rounded player in all of New England.” “I would absolutely match him up with any player in New England, he’s a great athlete with polished skills”.

During the spring Quincy represents Team Alpha.

Quincy is arguably the top player in 11u for the commonwealth of Massachusetts.
