This prime time player spotlight is brought to you by Justin Hurst for Mayor. Justin Hurst is a strong advocate for our kids and a proven supporter of youth sports in Springfield.
From the backflips to the elite speed and heart, Da'Sean Auston anchors the track team as they race towards defending their two time regional championship reign in New England. He is a prime time player.
Speedy doesn't just excel against conference foes, or against regional competition, but he has also made big time players against foes from around the nation, including the North Carolina Darkhorses. Legend has it that the Tigers we tied in the fourth quarter on their one yard line when his coach called a counter. Speedy outraced the contain player to get to the edge, sped past persuing defenders and showed more endurance than anyone on the field to punch in the go ahead touchdown.
Coach Deandre said "Da’sean aka Speedy is a fearless player. Doesn’t shy away from contact, very physical and smart player. He is a 2 way player as an offensive player he has a nose for the end zone with great speed and excellent footwork. Also Speedy is a great special team specialist give him the ball In open field he will make you pay!!!"
Speedy plays Free Safety and has tracked down some of the fastest kids in the nation on defense to prevent touchdowns.
Speedy is looking to continue his playing career at Springfield Central High School in Massachusetts, but first wants to bring home the first AYF national title to Springfield.
