AYF Semi finals wrap up

Regional semi-finals are not only win or go home scenarios for all teams involved, but also helps us gauge conferences versus each other. This years 9u semi finals matched up the CTAYF (Connecticut) winners with the CMAYF/EMAYF (Eastern and Central Mass) winners on one side of the bracket and Blackstone Valley (Rhode Island and Southern Ma) against NHAYF (New Hampshire).

In the 10u age bracket the #1 Springfield Tigers (formerly #2) faced off with the #4 Lynn Rams (formerly #4) in Springfield, Massachusetts. Springfield jumped out to 13 - 0 lead over the Rams before the Rams were able to respond with a score (13-6), The Tigers then pulled of 25 more unanswered points finishing the game 37 - 6. The Tigers face the Derry Devils who won a tightly contested game with. the East Providence Townies in Nashua New Hampshire. Under down pouring rain the Devils ground out the 7 - 0 win.

The Derry Devils (New Hampshire) will face off against the Springfield Tigers (Massachusetts) at Bryant University in Rhode Island on Sunday November 20th for the right to represent New England in the AYF National Championships in Kissimmee, Florida from December 3rd through December 9th. Top 10 New England will be there in Florida to provide you with updates on games, highlights and scores.
