It was a week of big wins at the 11u age level all across New England. The game of the week was the #1 team from D1 Pop Warner vs the Number 1 Team in D2 Pop Warner. The Seahawks proved to be too much for the Hurricanes in this weeks show down.
I’m AYF action The undefeated Springfield Tigers headed into their game versus the unbeaten Hartford Wildcats and after a 14-7 half pulled away with a flurry of scores in the third quarter.
In Massachusetts the Tewksbury Redmen out scored the Leominster Jr Blue Devils.
The West Row Seahawks dominated despite a key player going down early. His teammates stepped up as the team dominated the Hartford Hurricanes 36-6. Florida looks like a lock for the Regional champs.
The Track Team aka the Springfield Tigers behind a three touchdown and one interception performance from DaSean “Speedy” Auston out classed the Hartford Hurricanes. Nolan “Gronk” Bonney added three PAT field goals in the winning effort, and Jamier Lawrence-Hill added a touchdown and some tough runs in the winning effort. Josiah Harvey, Cky’Aire Sepheus, Kenny Brown and Jamier Coleman led the defense holding Hartford to only 7 points. The final score was 30-7.
The New Britain Jr Canes beat Elm City 49 - 0. Braylon Ragins threw for 100 yards and 3 TDs with an 80% completion rate. Christian Harrison caught for 2 tds, ran for 1 TD and threw for one TD. Jadiel Diaz caught two touchdowns, Lyon Bell caught a touchdown pass and Ran for another. On the defensive side of the ball Julian Lozano made 6 tackles while Xayvien Crespi had two sacks and a forced fumble.
