11u heading into the playoffs

We are at the end of the regular season for some leagues while other leagues are finishing up their season this weekend. The playoff picture is getting clearer in Central Mass AYF, Blackstone Valley and Connecticut AYF.

In Connecticut Springfield has clinched the number 1 seed and New Britain looks to cement the number 2 seed with a win against their rivals Meriden, who has dominated this rivalry over the past couple of years. Hartford will be one of the four seeds after this weekends games shake up as they expect to win against a game New London Whalers squad.

In the Blackstone Valley conference Lincoln Lions look to continue their unbeaten dominance over the conference in the playoffs. CLCF Chiefs, Providence and Fall River fill out the playoff bracket at 11u with the CLCF Chiefs vs Providence match up looking like a potential game of the week. CLCF handles Providence in their first match up, however the hardest thing to do in football is to beat a team twice.

In Central Mass the AYF national playoff contenders look to be Leominster, Maynard/Nashoba, Worcester Vikings and Wachusett. Leominster is the runner ups for the New England region last year, however Maynard/Nashoba has programatic regional pedigree and are a strong contender to challenge in the region.
